The Beginner's Guide To Mastering
Natural Light Portrait Photography
|
Photographers:
From: Cindy Bracken, Goodyear, AZ
If you're like me, you LOVE portrait photography! However, portrait photography is one of the most difficult genres of photography there is, in my opinion. Especiallly when you are photographing children or other difficult subjects. The LAST thing you need is to be messing around with difficult lighting equipment that fails to deliver the results you want anyway. What could be easier than just using your camera...and no other equipment...to get the stunning images you crave? Imagine being able to:
Sounds simple, but you may be wondering:
"Finally, YOU can create the images you've always dreamed about!" |
|
I'm Cindy Bracken, professional photographer and mom to two girls. Like many of you, my love of photography really blossomed with the birth of my first child. I longed to take beautiful images of her. And while I do love capturing images in my studio using my lights, my favorite portraits are always the ones that are taken either outside using natural lighting, or indoors using window light.
It wasn't always this way. Once upon a time, all I ever did was leave my camera on it's automatic setting whenever taking natural light photos. They always came out looking like snapshots. Achieving good, professional-looking portraits was still a mystery.
I practiced as much as possible, and read everything I could about photography. Gradually, I improved. And now, I'm confident EVERY TIME I do a photo session that the images will be good. Sometimes even great! I'm always happy and pleased to show my work to clients. All of the images you see on this page were taken with my Canon 20D using all natural lighting and no other equipment.
And I'd like to show YOU how to do it, too!
